Insurance Claims

Coming home I drove into the wrong house and collided with a tree I don’t have.

A truck backed through my windshield into my wife’s face

An invisible car cam out of nowhere, struck my car and vanished.

As I approached the intersection, a sign suddenly appeared in a place where no stop sign had ever appeared before. I was unable to stop in time to avoid the accident.

I was sure the old fellow would never make it to the other side of the road when I struck him.

I saw a slow-moving, sad-faced old gentlemen as he bounced off the hood of my car.

Teh indirect cause of the accident was a little guy in a small car with a big mouth.

#Big break through on teen driving safety

Friday, January 28th, 2011

In America cars are being fitted with a two-way camera, whilst one lens points at the driver another points at the road, this clever device produced by Drive-Cam based in San Diego states it does not record every minute of driving but simply the ten seconds before and after any irregular movement by the driver, further there is also a microphone to pick up the sound.

So welcome is this device that one insurance company “American Family Insurance” is actually giving away the cameras, for teen drivers and one study has shown it reduces risk taking by young drivers by up to 70%.

How is works in practice is that all the footage is watched by analyst who then provide parents with feedback.

Although this system is just beginning we may see this in the Uk within a few years.
