The recent sunshine has not only brought out the shorts and shades but the demand for convertible care in particular hire cars, with the Easter break coming up people are hedging their bets that the good spell will continue and it calls for tops down.
Top of the list of wants being Mercedes E-Class with the Volkswagen Eos and Mercedes SLK in hot pursuit.

The road safety charity Brake has launched the campaign “Lighter Later” which would mean the clocks would go forward an hour all year round.
This campaign is gathering more and more support and would mean there would be fewer daylight hours in the morning, when most people are asleep and allow for lighter evenings, which would improve safety in all areas of road use, but particularly to cyclists and pedestrians.
Julie Townsend Brake deputy chief executive said “Brake is urging the government to put the clocks forward by an hour throughout the year, to make the evenings lighter and our community’s safer, happier places. We waste too much precious daylight when most of us are asleep. Changing the clocks would mean it stays lighter later in the day, so we have more daylight when most people are awake. The effect would be safer roads in the afternoons and evenings, when many are walking and cycling home from school or work and need to be seen by drivers to prevent devastating road casualties. The change would also promote healthier lifestyles and stronger communities as it would encourage more people to get out and about on foot and bicycle.”
