The vehicle is 20 foot long and 6.5 foot wide and Reynolds restored it to look like the Ghost Buster Ecto 1 on the exterior whilst inside it is in fact a luxury limousine powdered by the 6.5 litre engine with does just 8 miles to the galleon.

The car is due to go under the hammer later this month with a price tag between £75,000 to £85000.

The summer holidays are now sliding away to that first day back and whilst the kids are back with new bags pens and shoes more and more teachers will be going back with their new car.

In the USA car leasing is a huge part of the car market as an affordable way to have a new car every 2 or 3 year and it is fast catching on here, professionals like teachers, nurses and doctors are just too busy to trawl the network system and just an easy click on to the web lets you know what you get for your money and when you add to this that they get a new car with all the guarantees of reliability that brings it is a no brainier really.

Car leasing offers a fixed monthly rental the car is picked up and collected from your home there are no balloon payments at the end no hidden cost, even damages are covered by strict guideline “fair wear and tear” so the consumer won’t be ripped off.

This was the massive fine run up by a Swedish driver, who sped through Switzerland, he was caught at 180mph in his Mercedes SLS AMG he had already escaped numerous cameras as they were unable to catch him at speeds in excess of 200kph.

The police finally arrested him after he stopped on the A12 highway Benoit Durmas the police officer at the scene stated “He needed over half a kilometre of road to come to a halt” and the drivers excuse “I think the speedo on the car, which is new is faulty”

The huge fine is as a result of Switzerland’s fine system which is based on income and the “extraordinary speed” he was travelling at.

This idea is brilliant reducing the need for a driver to take their eye away from the road, this technology comes from military planes, BMW on the new 7 series are now developing a colour version but you could argue that as fighter pilots make do with single colour is it necessary and further would colour be more of a distraction.

There is a danger that manufacturers will look to get as much information on to HUD in the name of driver safety, but there has to be a limit where all this data on the windscreen could become more of a hindrance than a help.

The very clever Chinese have come up with brilliant bus tunnel, basically the bus straddles two lanes of traffic carrying up to 1200 passengers, whilst allowing cars to drive underneath it.

This new design is eco friendly as it runs on electricity using its own charging system by means of relay charging the roof of the vehicle conducts electricity and contact special charging points as it moves, there are currently two ideas being considered one would be to simply follow a track very much like a tram the second would be painted lines on the road either by an automated system or driven.

They are planning on erecting elevated bus stops or installing ladders in the bus and the pilot is set for Beijing in 2011 during which they are going to monitor on mainly the traffic management and safety

Diana Dors the British Marilyn Monroe bought the one off Delahaye Type when she was just 17 and in fact could not even drive at that time, the car was built in 1949 and at that time it was common for coach-builders to create beautiful and very flamboyant one off cars for the purpose of the car show.

The Delahaye was created by a Ukrainian coach-builder from Saoutchik , it is 20 foot long in electric blue with a white interior with a translucent steering wheel, the engine is a six-cylinder with 165 bhp and this has only very recently been reunited with the car.

The car cost Miss Dors an estimated £5000 and is expected to go under the hammer for about £4m.

Finally it has arrived after what some have said has been unnecessary delays, so how does it fair within its market well the first plus around £5k less that Volkswagen or Audi and second is the joy of the noise there is no doubt time and effort has gone into producing a lovely rasp when the freedom of the country road beckons, but it keep nice and quiet on the typical town ride so as not to be a nuisance.

On the down side is the ride harsh and you will feel every bump but still much improved on the models that have gone before and reports have stated that there has been no more feeling of bouncing out of control.

Overall the handling is fair the sound is great and price brilliant.
