This was the massive fine run up by a Swedish driver, who sped through Switzerland, he was caught at 180mph in his Mercedes SLS AMG he had already escaped numerous cameras as they were unable to catch him at speeds in excess of 200kph.
The police finally arrested him after he stopped on the A12 highway Benoit Durmas the police officer at the scene stated “He needed over half a kilometre of road to come to a halt” and the drivers excuse “I think the speedo on the car, which is new is faulty”
The huge fine is as a result of Switzerland’s fine system which is based on income and the “extraordinary speed” he was travelling at.

The very clever Chinese have come up with brilliant bus tunnel, basically the bus straddles two lanes of traffic carrying up to 1200 passengers, whilst allowing cars to drive underneath it.
This new design is eco friendly as it runs on electricity using its own charging system by means of relay charging the roof of the vehicle conducts electricity and contact special charging points as it moves, there are currently two ideas being considered one would be to simply follow a track very much like a tram the second would be painted lines on the road either by an automated system or driven.
They are planning on erecting elevated bus stops or installing ladders in the bus and the pilot is set for Beijing in 2011 during which they are going to monitor on mainly the traffic management and safety

Diana Dors the British Marilyn Monroe bought the one off Delahaye Type when she was just 17 and in fact could not even drive at that time, the car was built in 1949 and at that time it was common for coach-builders to create beautiful and very flamboyant one off cars for the purpose of the car show.
The Delahaye was created by a Ukrainian coach-builder from Saoutchik , it is 20 foot long in electric blue with a white interior with a translucent steering wheel, the engine is a six-cylinder with 165 bhp and this has only very recently been reunited with the car.
The car cost Miss Dors an estimated £5000 and is expected to go under the hammer for about £4m.

There has been much confusion over a diversion at Victoria Station in London, but a lucrative one for the government who have made £2m in only three months.
The camera placed on a temporary bus lane has caught just over 16.000 drivers who have continued to take the route which allows avoidance of the congestion charge, despite the numerous signs and once they have made the turn there is no going back thanks to a barrier so they are committed to their mistake and a charge of £120 reduce to £60 if paid within two weeks.
Recently it has been announced that may speed traps will be cut due to cuts but the yellow boxes will stay put as a deterrent but it could be as many as 9 out of 10 that are mere dummies.

How does the price tag of £7k sound which is the pricing of perhaps the most expensive car wash being offered by Gurcharn Sahota, who whilst at university studying accountancy became a car valet and he offered to clean an Aston Martin for a dealer free of charge, the dealer was so impressed passed his name on and so he started “Elite Detailing”
The business operates from his parents garage and this has been lined with certain tiles that enable the reflection of small dirt particles this with the £5000 police microscope which detects the smallest of scratches and products such as the wax coming in at £8000 a tub, produces the results that his clients require. A valet can take up to over 200 hours and the top service includes each car part being polished 5 times.

New York drivers convicted of a drink drive offence will be forced to have fitted the new system which they have to use any detection of even the smallest amount of alcohol will cause the ignition to lock, on top of this breath test must be taken throughout the journey and any failure caused the vehicle to let out a loud shrieking noise and the hazards to flash and so the driver has to pull over.
Any passenger will also have to take the test to stop someone else starting the car, it will cost around £60- £75 to install and then there will be a monthly fee of around the same amount. In test it has proved to reduce any re-offending.
