Drivers pay 14% more to stay on the road

Hard-pressed drivers pay more than £6600 a year just to keep their car on the road, according to new figures from the RAC.

The RAC revealed the average annual cost of running a car has soared by 14% during the past 12 months, adding an £819 to the driver’s bill.
